Book Review of Destined by Jordan Pinckney and Will Lenzen Jr

These Weren't The Answers She Was Looking For

For years, sixteen-year-old Leana has been plagued with terrifying nightmares, and now they’re getting worse, creeping into her waking hours. In a desperate attempt to help her make sense of them, her mother is sending her to the last person on Earth Leana would want to visit… her estranged father. On his farm, she finds answers she wasn’t expecting.

"You don't want to miss this fantastic debut novel. Destined is fast-paced, full of adventure, and a hell of a thrill ride... I already can't wait for the next book in this science-fiction/fantasy adventure!"
- Award-winning author of 100 Days in Deadland, Rachel Aukes

This book was amazing! Well written, fast paced, great dialog and a dynamic plot line. This book does a great job setting up for a series; the reader can guess what is likely the truth surrounding Leana, but there are just enough surprises that you feel the need to keep reading.
I think the authors did a good job grasping as well the crazy emotions of a teenage girl. The story starts off a bit slow, but gains speed and before you know it...it's over!
I also really enjoyed the world the authors created, from the slang words the teens used to the way phones were used and other technology. When the more science fiction parts happen its very easy to imagine in this world that they have created. If you are a fan of science fiction or just young adult novels in general this is a must read.
